Maintaining Our Clients’ Independence
Our job is to enable our domiciliary care clients to maintain as much independence as they can.
Supporting our clients with those everyday tasks that have become difficult to manage.
Whether that’s through a daily visit to help with cooking or cleaning, accompanying the client on a trip to the hairdressers, or indeed an overnight stay.
We help our clients to regain self-confidence, something that is often lost as our ability to do things for ourselves starts to dwindle, helping them to achieve more on their own (where possible).
We take pride in providing a measured service, not taking over or overwhelming the client, but providing them with a care and support package that’s right for them.
From an hour or two each week to live-in care, we can provide as much or as little help as our clients need to maintain their independence.
Our services include:
- Housework: Cleaning, Cooking and Tidying
- Personal Care
- Companionship & Support
- Overnight / Live In Care
- Hospital to Home
- Respite Care
- Specialist Care
Working with clients with a variety of conditions:
- Alzheimer’s & Dementia
- Learning Disabilities
- Mental Health Conditions
- Physical Disabilities
Round the clock support
We have a large group of amazingly hard-working carers, a pool from which we carefully select the right carer for our clients. Matching personalities and interests to help develop the bond between carer and client.
Our team is available at all times of the day and night, and can stay overnight if required.
And it’s not just about helping them in their home, we can also accompany our clients if they need to visit the hairdressers, join a local group, or attend a doctor’s appointment.
Support tailored to the individual
It’s not about fitting you into our routine, it’s about us fitting in with yours!
- How can we help you to live as independently as possible?
- How can we take some of the strain out of daily life and let you relax and enjoy it?
Our goal is to provide a package of care that helps our clients to achieve theirs.
Taking pride in providing a personal touch, if you like to have the milk added first when making a cuppa, well that’s fine by us!
Our Services
Housework: Cleaning, Cooking and Tidying
Our team can help with those everyday tasks that have become difficult to manage. Whether that’s helping to keep things tidy and clean, preparing food or indeed any other household chores.
Personal Care
Helping our clients maintain their personal routines; washing, oral hygine, make-up and grooming, dressing, tiolet assistance and incontinence care.
Companionship & Support
Sometimes it’s not about physically taking care of our clients, they simply want a friendly face to pop by and check how they are, share a cuppa, and have a good chat. Our client’s mental health is just as important as their physical wellbeing.
Overnight / Live In Care
Sometimes you need more than a few hours of support, either as a one-off or on a regular basis, and our team are available 24/7, providing overnight / live-in care when required. This offers a great alternative to residential care when more intense support is needed but the client wants to remain in their own home.
Hospital to Home
Visits to the hospital, whether planned or in an emergency, are no fun, and often some sort of additional care is required on returning home. Our team can help take the stress out of the whole process; from hospital discharge to the ongoing care required at home.
Respite Care
Whether as a one-off or a regular basis, our team can provide respite care for permanent care-givers. There’s a saying ‘You can’t pour from an empty bottle’ and we believe it’s vital that a carers themselves get a chance to recharge their batteries.
Specialist Care
Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care
Routine and familiarity are key to the wellbeing of Alzheimer’s and Dementia patients and are our specially trained carers can provide the necessary care with the minimum disruption to their routine.
Learning Disabilities
Living with a learning disability can be very difficult and can be quite overwhelming at times for an individual’s carer. Our specialist carers can step in and provide that extra bit of assistance to help the client live as independently as possible whilst providing respite for their family/carers.
Mental Health Conditions
Mental illness can affect people in many different ways, it can be as dilapidating as a physical condition, but it does not need to mean a loss of independence. We can provide carers specially trained and experienced in supporting individuals that need that extra bit of help when it comes to their mental wellbeing.
Physical Disabilities
Having any kind of physical disability can make life feel like an uphill struggle. Not only do some tasks become extremely difficult, if not impossible to complete, but that struggle can take its toll mentally as well. Our team of specially trained carers can help reduce that struggle, providing just the right level of support to help our clients live as independently as possible.
Taking the next steps
Costs
We offer domiciliary care from as little as a couple of hours of support a week, increasing as the need arises. Helping to maintain our clients’ independence whilst keeping costs to a minimum.
Hours can be increased and decreased as necessary, including overnight stays and indeed live-in care, should it be a suitable option – helping maintain your ongoing independence.
We will work with you to agree a plan that provides the care you need at a cost you can afford.
Funding
If you’re not sure about funding, we can help. We have devised a simple, four-step strategy to help maximise any support you may be able to get:
- NHS funding – Are you eligible?
- Local authority funding – Is this an option to help support your care?
- Other Support – What other grants or support might be available?
- Finance – How might you fund your care with savings or an asset?
We will discuss all of the above with you and help you as much as we can.
